Welcome to Class 2’s page! Here you can find out about what we are learning, our weekly routines, what you can do at home and useful learning websites.
What you need to remember:
All week– Children she have a reading book and reading record in school at all times. They should also have a full PE kit (for all weathers) in school.

- Homework and home school diary will be uploaded onto SeeSaw
- Toby the Turtle will be sent home with a different child each week. This gives the children an opportunity to share what they get up to.
Homework & Home Learning Information Area
Reading – Try to read 10 minutes every day. It is even better if you answer questions about what you have read.
Year 1 – Doubles to 20 andNumber bonds to 10 and 20- using Top Marks
Year 2 – Practise the 2, 5 and 10 times tables – using ttRockstars
Homework – This is usually linked to what we have been learning in class that week. This will be uploaded to SeeSaw on Friday. Please ask Miss. Smith if you have any questions about homework.
Home Learning – We use the online learning platform, Seesaw. Your child will receive a letter with login details. Please contact your child’s teacher if you have not received this. Here is a Seesaw Quick Start Guide for you and your child to watch. All work will be uploaded to Seesaw, including links to Live and Prerecorded lessons and follow-up activities.
Self-isolation – if you need to self-isolate work will be assigned to your child’s Seesaw account which is to be completed each day. There will be daily Maths, English, Science and RE.

A huge variety of spelling games to keep you sharp
BBC Bitesize activities aimed at practising a range of KS2 spellings and phonics techniques, SPaG and reading activities.
Fun Phonics games for phase 5 phonics- requires registration but many features are available without purchase.
Reading – eBooks
Many maths games for children to practise lots of different areas of maths in an interactive way.
TTRockstars a fun and interactive way to practise the 2, 5 and 10 timetable. Each child has their own login.
BBC Bitesize has lots of games and activities for children to do to reinforce their class learning.
