School Meals

The midday meal is cooked on the premises in our own kitchen and it forms an integral part of the school day. It is in fact a good opportunity for social mixing within the school.

Care is taken to ensure that the food is healthy and wholesome.  We currently rotate meals on a three weekly basis (menus available from the school office or North Yorkshire website - see below).

Specialist diets can be catered for on request.

Children in Reception and Years 1 and 2 are entitled to a 'Universal Infant Free School Meal'.  The cost of a meal for children in Year 3 and above is currently £2.40 per day/£12.00 per week and MUST be paid in advance. It can be paid daily, weekly, monthly, half-termly or termly using the secure on-line facility ParentPay or in cash at the School Office.  For more information on this facility or password resets - please contact the School Office.

From 3rd June 2019 there will be the option to have a jacket potato with beans, cheese or tuna, as an alternative to the main dish of the day.

Please Note - The menu may be varied slightly, depending on the availability of produce.  We will also try to ensure that no meat is served on a Friday.

Additional information on school meals can be found in the School Catering section on the North Yorkshire County Council Website
